We take immense pleasure in announcing that the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, Graphic Era University, Dehradun, is organizing an International Conference on Emerging Trends in Communication Technologies (ICETCT-2016) for faculty and professionals on November 18th and 19th, 2016.
The Conference on Emerging Trends in Communication Technologies is being organized with the aim of self upgradation and improvement in teaching skills of the faculty. Communications has been playing and will continue to play a vital role to meet the technical and tactical communication requirements specially in such inhospitable and difficult terrains of the country like Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh etc. where laying of optical cables may neither be possible nor commercially viable in near future. This Conference will also help teachers in exploring new areas of research in the field and upgrading the syllabi as per industrial requirements. There will be lectures by eminent researchers/professors/professionals in the related areas drawn from Defence Research & Development Organization, Indian Space Research Organization, Industry and academic institutions of national and international repute. The conference will be organized in different sessions relating to different areas.

The size of the paper is limited to 5 pages conforming to the IEEE format and specifications. The IEEE paper template can be downloaded from http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html.
Acceptance or rejection of papers is based on peer review of the full papers.
Authors wishing to participate at the conference must register individually. Each selected paper requires at least one author to attend the conference for presentation. Papers not actually presented at the conference shall not be included in the Conference Publications.
The plagiarism policy for the conference will be in accoradance with IEEE plagiarism policy. All accepted and presented papers will be published in the Conference proceedings and made available at the time of Conference. All accepted papers of the conference by duly registered author(s), will also be submitted to IEEE Xplore digital library for possible publication. (IEEE Conference Record No.: 40036)
Faculty from AICTE approved institutions/Deemed/Private Universities/and professionals from relevant industries, research organizations are eligible to participate.

Only registered authors can present the papers at the conference. If the same author is registering for more than one paper then he/she can avail a 50% discount on subsequent papers.

Nearby places of tourist interest include Sahastradhara (14 Km) Robbers Cave (8 Km) Tapkeshwar Temple (5.5 Km) and Malsi Deer Park (9 Km) The city has a beautiful landscape and is surrounded by the Shivalik range of Mountains. It is also the capital of “DEVBHUMI” Uttarakhand. Popular attractions for pilgrims Haridwar and Rishikesh, the Queen of Hills (Mussoorie) and Chakrata are in the vicinity of Dehradun with approximate distance of 40-80 Km. The weather during October is usually cool and pleasant with a temperature of around 27°C.
The Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering was established during the inception of University in 2011. The department has experienced and well qualified faculty members from esteemed institutes like IITs, NITs, IIITs. The faculty expertise is in different areas which include Electromagnetics, Power Electronics, Instrumentation, Analog/Digital Circuit Design, Remote Sensing, Antenna design, Signal Processing, RF Engineering and VLSI design. The department of ECE at Graphic Era Hill University, Dehradun aims to produce qualified and dynamic engineers in the fast changing areas of Electronics and Communication Engineering.
The department offers B. Tech (ECE), M. Tech (Communication Systems) and Doctoral Programs. The department has dedicated research activities in the field of VLSI and Embedded systems. To promote high quality education and research the department is equipped with highly sophisticated software like Xilinx Vivado Design Suite, MATLAB and ORCAD and hardware like Advanced FPFA development boards/kits of Agilent, Spectrum Analyzer, advanced PCB machine, Agilent Signal Generator, DSO’s and MIC Components Test Bench.
Graphic Era Hill University under the aegis of Graphic Era Educational Society was founded in 2011 under an Uttarakhand State Government Act. GEHU is spread across 2 vibrant campuses nestled in the midst of nature situated in Dehradun and Bhimtal respectively. They offer the perfect ambiance for the pursuit of academics along with extracurricular and co-curricular activities; encouraging aspiring young professionals to explore beyond the realms of the classroom.

The department has dedicated centers for research activities in the field of RF & Microwave, VLSI and Embedded Systems in association with Texas Instruments. To promote the high quality education & research, the department is enriched with highly sophisticated software like Agilent ADS, Silvaco, Visual TCAD, Cadence University module, MATLAB, ORCAD and hardware like Spectrum Analyzer, Agilent Signal Generator, Agilent RF Power Meter and MIC Components Test Bench. Alumni of the department are well placed in government research organizations, ministry of defense and companies of international repute.
